The video highlights the differences between the Democratic candidates on how many troops they would leave behind in Iraq. Richardson is the only major Presidential candidate with a plan that removes every single soldier from Iraq, leaving no residual troops behind.
The ad details a hostage situation in Iraq that then-Congressman Richardson was called upon to defuse. In the 60-second spot, Bill Barloon, the late David Daliberti, and his wife Kathy Daliberti praise Richardson for obtaining the release of the two men from Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein in July 1995.
Gov. Bill Richardson says he will get all the troops out by 2009, not 2013. He also calls for an end to negative, personal attacks and pledges prosecution of those responsible for torture.
