Well here is a successful airsalute, some what unexpected I have to say as at one point I thought the shell have been destroyed in the tube but to my supprise it goes off in the air.
I do believe in showing my mistakes as well as my successes. So here is a vid of me testing a fuse for an air salure where the shell was too small for the mortar tube, also if the shell did launch the fuse was way too long and would of landed anyway.
I learned from my mistake and thats the main thing.
Messing around with rocket motors and decided to stick 6 of them on the end of a tube to se how far it flew. I was pretty impressed considering the motor sizes.
This was a banger ( salute ) created soley from matches. This was an old project I recreated from when I was a kid.
I'll post up a full tutorial soon, this is a basic mix of match heads and flint.

This was a test of my fuse and my new camcorder. The fuse is made using the same method in my other video but instead of using green meal I used a sugar and KNO3 mix, I feel I need to add more sugar to the mix to slow down the fuse speed. As you can see the air salute bursts way too soon
