A live performance in Denmark for the new album, White Chalk. Self-taught piano, for the purpose of making this album, wanting to try new creative approaches, etc.
As suggested by the title, this is an interview segment where Polly talks about her song, 'The Devil'. The associated song performance has been posted elsewhere on youtube recently, so go check it out and then come back here if you would like to get some background info about this song.
Toronto outdoor interview with Kim Hughes. Discussion includes talk about country farm life as well as artistic motive. I forgot how much I liked this little interview.
From a music industry conference. This is one of a handful of songs from that appearance. It's likely very early in the TBYML tour, unique in that it is one of the few shows in which she donned the whole TBYML 'Joan Crawford on acid' ensemble.
Great interview from 1995 featured on the independent music program called "JBTV". The host is a bit of a dork, but he means well. This interview provides us with a peek into her mindset around the time of the TBYML album.
From the 'To Bring You My Love' album. It's one of those live, but no studio audience sessions. Love the really caustic, dirty guitar tones in this version.
The video is sort of choppy. Not sure if it's fixable by an alternative method of encoding or not, but hey.. at least I finally got another PJ video up! (long overdue, I know. I'm a disappointment to everyone in real life too!)
2000 Amsterdam concert, with brief interview segment surrounding live track. This song is an obscure cover tune, recorded for a movie soundtrack back somewhere in the 90's. I forget the title of the then popular film.. about a nanny gone wild, to put it succintly.
This one was posted before, as part of a 3 song grouping (WUE, Piano, Mountain) uploaded a couple weeks ago by someone else, but I fear this song was getting lost amidst the others and deserved a moment to stand alone. the ending is to die for.
Appearance in 2004 during promotion of the 'Uh Huh Her' album.
